175 acres of crops on farmland are bulldozed over the Easter weekend by the People’s Partnership to make way for Housing Development Compa­ny (HDC) houses . No warning was given to farmers, who have occupied the land since 1979. The Partnership’s election manifesto speaks of “re­spect for farmers”.
